Every Year Full Moon Farm donates thousands of pounds of organic food to our community.

This year we decided to give even more.

Hunger

The Covid-19 pandemic has illuminated just how tentative food security can be, even in our resilient little state. Full Moon Farm wants to help make sure families who need healthy food have access to it.

In addition to our Buy Food Not Crap campaign, we have teamed up with other caring folks in our community to donate food once a month to a local food drive In Burlington. Last weekend, Full Moon Farm donated 1600lbs of napa cabbage, sweet potatoes and onions to 200 families. Other area businesses donate milk, eggs, non-perishables, staples and gift cards as well. What we have to give is never enough to tide families over for the month but it’s a start. The best part last weekend is that we handed the 200th bag to the very last person in line! It kills me when we run out of food. I hate to turn anyone anyway who needs help. If you or your business has something to offer, contact us and we’ll put you in touch with the organizers. It takes a village!
